Soumya Malhotra is a driven and passionate marketer, writer, and art enthusiast with a thirst for knowledge and experience. She is currently working as a Market Development Manager at Pidilite Industries, where she manages field marketing for the Arts, Stationery, and Fabric Division of the Consumer Products vertical in Mumbai and Gujarat. Soumya is responsible for leading a team of 10 field executives who drive BTL activations for adult and child art and craft categories at various potential avenues. She also ideates and executes strategic initiatives to generate demand at the user level via BTL and ATL initiatives to influence the influencers. Soumya coordinates the tactical operations in tandem with the ASMs and KAMs to ensure regular stock liquidation from accounts and hence aid secondary sales by conducting activations to push tertiary sales. Before her current role, Soumya worked as a Manager - Special Projects at Pidilite Industries, where she formulated the strategy for launching a D2C Portal for all divisions of Pidilite under one umbrella. She designed the positioning model and the value proposition for different TGs, formulated the warehousing and last-mile delivery models for order fulfillment, and evaluated options for the same. Soumya initiated inter-function and inter-division alignments for launching D2C and creating the portfolio strategy. She started her career at Pidilite Industries as a Management Trainee, where she completed four different stints in the field, including a live project to ensure adoption and drive the usage of PIL software amongst the WSS of Central Zone, sales stint in Dehradun territory, business development stint, and branch manager stint in Punjab cluster(6 territories). Soumya holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Shillong, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science, specializing in Business Analytics and Optimization from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. She completed her schooling at Brightlands School and Riverdale School. With 2.87 years of relevant experience, Soumya is a curious soul carving a path in this wonderful world, finding mountains to scale, with her head unbowed and dignity as her true grail.
