She then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from Jadavpur University, where she gained a strong foundation in the field of materials science and engineering. As an aspiring Research Scientist, Soumya has also worked as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where she gained valuable experience in Phase Field Modelling and Simulation of Microstructure Evaluation based on Classical and Non-Classical Diffusion Equations using Finite Difference and Spectral Techniques.
