Soumya Samanta is a seasoned software engineer with 5 years of experience in the telecommunications domain. As an adaptive and deep-thinking professional, she is always willing to go the extra mile to solve problems in a better way. Currently, she works as a Software Engineer at Soroco, where she brings her expertise to the table. Prior to joining Soroco, Soumya worked as a Software Developer Advanced and Software Developer Experience at Amdocs. During her tenure at Amdocs, she worked on several critical projects, including the merger of Sprint PCS with T-Mobile. She was responsible for provisioning Sprint subscribers on T-Mobile's network, managing the usages of prepaid Sprint subscribers provisioned on T-Mobile's network, enabling the rating of usages by downstream applications for postpaid subscribers provisioned on T-Mobile's network, and migrating postpaid and assurance prepaid subscribers to T-Mobile's billing system. She also worked on the billing and usage management product development for US-based telco Sprint PCS. Some of her notable projects included introducing a brand new system to handle the archival of records for wholesale customers, enhancing the billing application end-to-end to support tax-inclusive price plans for subscribers, and developing analytic reports to identify cross-network usage as well as tax-inclusive usage. Soumya is an alumna of the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, where she earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology. She has a strong technical background and is proficient in various software engineering and mobile technologies. With almost 7 years of relevant experience, Soumya is a valuable addition to any team.
