Soumya Sarkar is an Application Analyst at M.H. Alshaya Co. with a demonstrated history of working in the retail industry. He is a proactive and fast-learning individual who is currently working on CRM application, ORACLE Database management system, and SQL server management system. Soumya is a strong information technology professional with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Durgapur. At M.H. Alshaya Co., Soumya is responsible for configuration, testing, and management of the CRM Applications of various brands and stores spread across the globe. He optimizes their operational flow on the customer relationship management systems, such as CIS(Customer Information System-In house application ), CMS(Card Management Solution- In house application), APC (Alshaya Privilege Club- Application by UPS) and GCS(Gift Card Solution by UPS). Soumya proactively engages with the team and leads to improve upon all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle. He understands IT operations, especially production support, release management, and problem management. Soumya creates test data to prove all test cases and executes and documents results of test plans to ensure modules will operate properly in the production environment. He recommends and leads improvements to applications and processes to decrease issues and maintain quality. Soumya works on analysis and design for requests assigned in addition to development and testing. He has a working knowledge of ITSM processes. Soumya creates and updates training materials (manuals/videos) and provides help desk (1st and 2nd level) and on-site support to end-user groups of CRM and related systems. He works with the Product team to organize market kick-offs to educate markets on new functionality. Soumya is responsible for data quality management, data extraction, manipulation, and data flow check. He is also responsible for improving workflow in the team. Prior to joining M.H. Alshaya Co., Soumya worked as a Risk Analyst at Amazon and as a Business Development Associate at Byju's. At Byju's, he engaged in a project on segmenting targeting and positioning of products and services. Soumya engaged with target customers-students, parents, schools via mails, calls, face-to-face meetings, and converted the leads into direct sales. He achieved weekly and monthly targets with proper execution of
