Soumya Sengupta is a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm, with over 6 years of experience in product-based companies. He is a passionate programmer with a detailed understanding of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Soumya has hands-on working experience in ONNX, OpenCV, different Python libraries such as Pytorch, Keras, Scikit, and the latest C++ versions such as C++11, C++14, and C++17. Currently, Soumya is working in the Camera Systems team in Qualcomm, where he is responsible for developing and modeling algorithms for next-generation Snapdragon processors using C++, Python, and other tools. He has also worked as a Senior Engineer in the Camera Software Team in India, where he developed and integrated frameworks for EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) module for Snapdragon processors using gyro data and image processing algorithms. He was awarded QUALSTAR for his efforts and contribution in the VIVO NEX project with Snapdragon 845. Prior to Qualcomm, Soumya worked as an SDE 2 at Gameberry Labs, where he worked as a full-stack game developer for Parchisi Star and Ludo Star. He used a tech stack that included C++, Cocos 2d-x, GoLang, Redis Server, NATS Streaming Server, MongoDB, CI/CD Pipelines, Node.js, AWS, and Digital Ocean. His responsibilities included performing code reviews, maintaining codebases, managing and performing releases (server & client both), building client and server-side features, and developing UI/animations using Cocos 2d. Soumya holds a Master's Degree in Instrumentation Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jadavpur University.
