Soups Ranjan is a highly experienced CEO and Co-Founder of Sardine, a Fraud Prevention as a Service for digital businesses. With over 15 years of experience in high-growth startups such as Coinbase and Revolut, Soups has built and managed teams of various sizes in diverse areas including product teams focused on crypto, data science and engineering, and risk engineering and operations. As a hands-on data scientist and machine learning engineer, Soups has built machine learning models and data infrastructure to manage risk and increase revenue in areas such as payment fraud, AML transaction monitoring, click fraud, account takeover detection and prevention, cyber security, growth/LTV modeling, churn detection and prevention, and ad targeting. In addition to his current role, Soups has also served as an Advisor to Makersplace and Mobile enerlytics, LLC in the past. Makersplace is a platform that allows buyers to purchase unique digital art pieces where their ownership is recorded for posterity on the blockchain, while Mobile enerlytics is a dev tool to help mobile app developers discover what's causing battery drain in their apps. Soups holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University, where he also earned his MS degree in the same field. He also holds a BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
