Sourab Pareek is a seasoned Staff Software Engineer at Innovaccer with a passion for writing clean and elegant code to solve complex business problems. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he has built scalable data-crunching products using Apache Spark, Scala, and Kubernetes. He is also an avid learner with hands-on experience in Play, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Python, AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, Redshift, EKS, S3, EMR, etc.), Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL. Sourab is excited about working on Serverless and Cloud Native Technologies. He is currently working at Innovaccer as a Staff Software Engineer, where he is building a FAAS platform on Kubernetes. He has implemented a serverless compute framework using AWS Lambda and built SDKs to enable the migration of Analytics services from batch spark jobs to event-based architecture. In his previous role at Innovaccer, Sourab was a Software Development Engineer III, where he led the development of the module to streamline deployment and execution of analytics jobs. He reduced execution cost and time of spark jobs by executing workload parallelly on ephemeral EMR clusters and spot instances. He also used Ansible for orchestrating deployment and Terraform to spawn ephemeral test environments. Prior to that, he was a Software Development Engineer II, where he worked on building a data platform for healthcare analytics. Sourab holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He has also attended Universal Public School. His tech stack includes Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Spark, Kubernetes, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, Scala, Elastic Search, Docker, MongoDB, NoSQL, Python, and test. Sourab is a highly motivated and result-oriented individual who is always looking for new challenges.
