Sourabh Bunnan is an experienced Embedded Systems/Platform Engineer with over 3 years of experience in designing and developing robust high-quality software in the automotive, networking, and telecom industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer, Embedded Systems at Cruise, where he is responsible for developing software for autonomous vehicles. Sourabh has a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He has hands-on experience in working with Atmega 16, RX63N, MSP 430, Arduino, TM4C123, CC2650(BLE), CC3100(WiFi, WiFi-Direct) hardware. Sourabh is proficient in C/C++, Python, ROS, MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, and Pygame. He has experience in developing Applications on Bare Metal Systems, RTOS (Real-time Operating System), and Linux-based Operating Systems. He is also well-versed in using tools such as Code Composer Studio (CCS), HEW, MATLAB, GEM5, QEMU, and Keil. Sourabh has worked with Voyage as an Embedded Software Engineer and is currently working on the Safety Controller of the system, which involves the design, development, and test of embedded safety-critical algorithms and software for the Voyage vehicle. Voyage was recently acquired by Cruise. He has also worked with Cisco as a Software Engineer (Platform), where he helped the team to migrate to a new Linux kernel version for the NXOS system. This involved patches pertaining to the memory management unit, network stack, device drivers, and security patches. Sourabh has a strong technical background and is well-versed in protocols such as SPI, RS-232, I2C, UART, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, and Bluetooth(BLE). He has relevant experience of 6.62 years and is passionate about developing software for embedded systems.
