Sourabh Medapati, also known as csgator, is a Research Engineer at Google Brain, where he is currently working on benchmarking training algorithms for large scale deep learning models using JAX. He is also contributing to external benchmarks as part of the MLCommons algorithms group. With a keen interest in Software Development, Distributed Systems, and Machine Learning, Sourabh has gained a wealth of experience in the field. Prior to his current role, Sourabh worked as a Software Engineer II at Google, where he worked with the YouTube ads quality (machine learning) team. He also has experience as a Software Developer Intern at Yahoo, where he worked with the Yahoo! Small Business team in their e-commerce division to integrate Authorize.Net payment gateway. He designed backend REST APIs (Java, C++) to support the integration, integrated push notifications in online stores to increase traction, and developed a cli tool (ybuddy) to automate deployment. Sourabh has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida, where he completed his studies in 2019. Before that, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in 2017.
