Sourav Dasgupta is a Senior Engineering Manager at Quince with over 13 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing low latency, high throughput, and near-real-time distributed data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms. He has expertise in data warehousing, data architecture and strategy, data analytics, big data, batch processing, MPP, data modeling, MDM, object-oriented programming, microservices, scripting, agile development, recruitment, team building, and thought leadership in product and technology. He has domain knowledge in Ad Tech, specifically in programmatic ads, contextual ads, and domain parking. Currently, Sourav is working as a Senior Manager at Directi, where he leads all data engineering initiatives for the programmatic ads product. He manages a team of developers who are responsible for creating and managing near-real-time data pipelines, data warehouses, OLAP stores, transnational data-stores, and replication infrastructure. He also owns the analytics platform for programmatic ads, which has both internal and external audiences. Sourav has previously worked as a Data Engineer II at Amazon, where he built end-to-end data pipelines for the payments organization in the Indian marketplace. He has also worked as a Senior Database Developer at Directi's internet advertising division, Media.net, where he was responsible for the architecture, design, execution, and management of a large and complex platform that records and analyzes a large volume of data. Sourav completed his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Management in 2009. He also attended B.P.C.S Govt High School from 1996 to 2005. Sourav's strengths include being objective, empathetic, and apt at consensus building. He is passionate about designing distributed data products and team building. He has achieved building the data engineering team from scratch for the programmatic ads product at Media.net.
