Sourav Kundu is a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in automation, debugging, and programming with Python and Bash scripting. He is well-versed in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker, AWS services, Datadog, and Github actions, among others. Currently working with Discovery Inc., Sourav is responsible for automating business processes and deployments to improve productivity. His major contribution to the adtech team includes transitioning to a Kubernetes environment, engineering the deployment process to reduce deployment time, creating monitoring dashboards and alerting systems, and successfully setting up a process to get notified for any vulnerabilities found in their docker images. He has also implemented an automation script to bring down entire test environments during holidays and weekends, optimizing costs. Previously, Sourav worked at Parallel Wireless with the data team, where he contributed significantly to the system test codebase and reduced the final build size to 1/3rd of its previous size. He also added multiple features to the Jenkins CICD pipeline to make it more robust and resilient. He has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Automation Anywhere, where he designed and implemented a distributed UI Testing Framework using RPA technology, saving more than 95% of the time for testing prior to any release.
