Sourik Mukherjee is a passionate Senior Applied Data Scientist with over 11 years of experience in implementing machine learning, computer vision, NLP, and recommender systems for both product and R&D capacities. He has extensive experience in the software industry, focusing on research, business analysis, design, development, and implementation of business transformation projects in AI for multiple domains like Banking and Automotive. Sourik has impeccable knowledge of initiating applications with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Convolutional Neural Network, Recurrent Neural Network, Recommender Systems, and Time Series Modelling. He has wide knowledge in multiple deep learning frameworks like Keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, and CV frameworks like OpenVX. Currently, Sourik is the Principal Data Scientist of AI Intelligent Systems with Harman International, Bangalore, India. He is actively contributing to conducting expert business & systems analysis, presenting AI solutions to businesses, identifying business improvements & information systems solutions, designing and developing ML Models, conducting research, and patent filing on the latest Applied AI areas. Sourik's specialty is finding a scope of automation or alternative improvement anywhere in the system/process/society and implementing it using Artificial Intelligence. His motto is always to try to be on the other side of the crowd and in a way try to be useful to society. In his current role, Sourik is researching data science solutions for different innovative AI prototypes. He is working on the ML business development area by being a bridge between customer and Engineering services in translating business problems to machine learning. He is also working on the design and development of data science programs for implementation of personalization, recommendation engine solutions in connected cars (Digital Cockpit) using different ML/DL algorithms, data analytics, and data formulation techniques, Computer Vision technologies. Sourik has worked with Faurecia as a Lead AI Engineer - Computer Vision and with Barclays as a Senior Analyst. He has experience in developing models for Parking Spot Detection, Segmentation, E-Mirror ADAS based vision algorithms, and face recognition algorithms. He has also worked on creating automation processes for enhancing Barclays intranet colleague search functionality using Clustering algorithm and NLP techniques. Sourik holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
