Souvik Bhowmik is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the field of JavaScript, React and React Native, Redux, Nodejs, TypeScript, and mobile app development. He is currently working as an SDE 2 at Tesco, where he is responsible for developing modules using React-Native, HTML, and CSS as per client requirements. Souvik has also written optimized code to host the project containerized by providing support for multi-staged Docker and worked on Tableau integration from scratch and delivered it. In his previous role as a Senior Software Developer at LeadSquared, Souvik developed a form builder to generate any form UI and inject validations to the form at run time. He also created a wrapper over code-push to update app bundles at run time and wrote many string prototypal methods to decrease complexity of the web. Souvik's expertise in mobile app development is evident in his work on the Inventory mobile app to replicate web functionalities on mobile and creating a video calling app for Android/iOS with the use of React-Native WebRTC. As an SDE-I at Tekion, Souvik was responsible for developing modules using React JS, HTML, and CSS as per client requirements. He managed the overall workflow of the entire application in a single state tree by using Redux and used Redux-thunk to generate all async actions from the UI end. Souvik was part of a development team that created a mobile application that performs real-time transcoding of live-streamed videos using WebRTC. Souvik is a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, formerly WBUT. He is proficient in various technologies, including React Native, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, iOS, Spring, AWS, P2P, and Backend. Souvik is a skilled designer and has experience in UI and test automation.
