Souvik Das is an accomplished Engineering Lead at Blend, a Sequoia Surge-backed company, where he is responsible for leading the engineering team and building awesome design tools. With a strong passion for technology, Souvik is a quick learner, pragmatic, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work. In his current role, Souvik is actively contributing code across the stack and towards a variety of features. He performs code reviews, tech designs, mentors teammates, and handles all things tech, primarily in the Backend and App teams. He is also learning a lot about DevOps, making him an all-rounder in the technology field. Prior to joining Blend, Souvik co-founded Corticalsens and worked as a Backend Engineer at Locus.sh. At Corticalsens, he played a significant role in building the company from scratch, while at Locus.sh, he built an advanced report generation engine for scale and worked on a SQL-based queuing service, which could be easily deployed across different Cloud Services. He was also actively involved in hiring and managed a team of contract-based engineers to build integrations with 3rd party billing systems. Souvik holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science Engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMU). He is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including SQL, Backend, AWS, DevOps, Javascript, Typescript, Spring, NodeJS, Python, and Java. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Souvik is a seasoned professional in the technology industry. He is a problem-solver, a team player, and a leader who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his team delivers top-notch work.
