Sowmya Nandaraju is an accomplished Project Management Lead with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. She specializes in Agile methodologies with a focus on SAFe Agile, and is an Advanced-Certified Scrum Master A-CSM and CSM. Sowmya is an Agile enthusiast and has a passion for enabling teams to self-organize. Sowmya has a wealth of experience in Scrum management, development, testing, design, and delivery, as well as release management. Her current role is with bd, where she leads project management. Prior to this, she worked with Swiss Re as Assistant Vice President, where she was responsible for digital transformation and client delivery. Sowmya has also worked with Akamai as Release Engineer II, where she played a key role in Scrum and release management. She was responsible for ensuring the successful planning and delivery of products, projects, and releases, and for driving various Scrum ceremonies to ensure high efficiency. Additionally, Sowmya planned, coordinated, and managed software releases for assigned networks, and identified hurdles in the release process, driving process changes, and enforcing the process with various stakeholders. Sowmya's education includes a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from S J C Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Karnataka, a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University, and a Pre-University Course in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology from KLE's Nijalingappa College, Rajajinagar, Bangalore. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management from Jain University. Sowmya's technical skills include software engineering, testing, web applications, QA, and infrastructure. With 11.70 years of relevant experience, Sowmya is a seasoned professional with a dynamic, positive attitude and a passion for teamwork.
