Sparsh Kansal is a highly skilled data science consultant with a passion for utilizing decision support systems, AI, and data science to drive results and learning. Currently working at the World Bank, Sparsh is responsible for developing and enhancing DeCODE, a project aimed at predicting implementation delivery challenges faced by project team leaders in the past. He achieves this by using natural language processing, Bayesian statistical analysis, and machine learning to find significant relationships between project determinants and delivery challenges. Sparsh is also adept at utilizing topic modelling and text summarization techniques to extract essential information and build knowledge graphs on project documents. In addition to his work on DeCODE, Sparsh has also performed stakeholder analysis on interview question and answer data using text analytics and machine learning in the water sector GP (Mekong-Laos Region). Prior to joining the World Bank, Sparsh gained valuable experience as a data science intern at the Institutional Grammar Research Initiative, where he built an automated tool to extract and pre-process policy written statements into standard sentences for further text classification. He also worked as a consultant at the New York State Education Department, where he predicted and forecasted teacher supply in the state of New York using time series analysis and machine learning in Python. Sparsh holds a Master of Public Administration in Data Analytics for Public Policy, Public Technology, and Management from Syracuse University, where he also earned a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. He also completed a Global Academic Internship Programme in Big Data for Artificial Neural Networks at the National University of Singapore. Sparsh is highly skilled in AI, data science, machine learning, Python, Keras, NLP, TensorFlow, and text classification.
