Sridhar Gopinath is an accomplished Engineer at Apple with a passion for program verification and compilers. Sridhar's past experience includes working as a GPU Compiler Intern at Apple, where he worked on a project to verify the GPU instruction selector. He developed a tool to automatically find defects in GlobalISel (Apple's GPU instruction selector) using the Alive formal verifier. He also implemented type inference, SSA representation, and register aliasing for the machine IR in LLVM, which led to the discovery of 3 critical defects in GlobalISel deployed in the latest release of iOS and macOS. Sridhar's education history includes a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from UT Austin, a Master of Science in Computer Science and Automation from IISC, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University.
