Sridip Chowdhury is an experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in dealing with routers and gateway devices. He has a proven track record of testing features of a given device, ensuring quality control of the product, and protocol development. Sridip has hands-on experience in C, Linux, Python, and Embedded Systems. Currently, Sridip is working as a Member of Technical Staff at Alumnus Software Limited. He is involved in Remote PHY Device QA Testing, which is a project that involves testing of Remote PHY Device (RPD) connected to modems on one hand and a Core Device (Headend) on another. The entire system supports both Docsis 3.0 and 3.1. Sridip's roles and responsibilities include designing the test framework, writing test cases based on the test plan, automating them using Python and Robot framework, and using Jenkins and X-RAY to do CI. In the past, Sridip has worked at HCL as a Lead Engineer and at Alumnus Software Limited as a Member of Technical Staff. At HCL, he worked on QoS for Cisco ASR9K, where he developed new implementations of features, fixed bugs, and resolved customer issues. At Alumnus Software Limited, Sridip worked on QoS on OpenWRT, where he developed new features and debugged issues raised by the internal testing team and customers. Sridip holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, completed in 2015.
