Srinivasan Balasubramanian is a distinguished engineer at Walmart Labs India with over 17 years of experience in various domains such as online advertising, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, medical imaging, parallel computing, and security. He has hands-on expertise in diverse areas including large-scale distributed systems, grid computing, medical imaging, online advertisement, sponsored search, web crawlers, high availability, parallel processing, device drivers, and application development. Srinivasan has good experience with open source technologies like Hbase, Hadoop, and Pig. He has worked with various programming languages such as Java, J2EE, Tomcat, Jetty, Python, PHP, C++, Perl, SQL, RDBMS, Golang, and Docker. At Justdial, he conceptualized and launched JDSocial, which is available as part of JD mobile app. He was responsible for all aspects of JDSocial offering including architecture, coding, product design, and delivery. Srinivasan completed his BE in Computer Science from National Engineering College in 1992.
