Stephanie Oh is a mathematician turned data scientist who is passionate about solving analytical problems using statistics, traditional machine learning techniques, deep learning, and fast thinking. She specializes in wearing different hats to ensure ideas quickly turn into proof of concepts and proof of concepts into products. Stephanie is currently a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook and has previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at the same company and as a Senior Data Scientist at LendingClub. Stephanie holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Northwestern University. She also studied abroad at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Stephanie has been in the tech industry for almost a decade and has gained expertise in various technologies such as ML, data science, frontend and backend development, research science, deep learning, and DevOps. Apart from her professional achievements, Stephanie is also passionate about powerlifting and snowboarding. She believes in the importance of overcoming the fear of math and technology, and if given the chance, she would like to solve this problem and help people understand the power of these tools.
