Sterling Salzberg is a seasoned UI/UX developer and designer with over 16 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Staff Frontend Engineer at StreamYard, where he is responsible for building killer products that improve people's lives at scale. Sterling is a passionate learner who is always eager to explore new technologies and techniques to enhance his skills. Prior to joining StreamYard, Sterling worked as a Senior Front End Developer and Team Lead at Hims & Hers, where he led and mentored the storefront engineering team. He was involved in several notable projects, including global navigation, footer, blog refactor, HLS video support, and product hero modules. Sterling also developed the internal theming system with React, styled-components, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on accessibility. He worked closely with product, marketing, and creative teams to advocate for accessibility and customer-first approaches. Sterling is also the Founder and Developer of Rad Plaid, a live music platform that helps connect fans to the vibrant local music scenes that surround them. He designed and developed the front end of the platform, which supports thousands of monthly visitors via React SSR, Redux, and Express.JS. The platform integrates with Spotify and uses your listening history or favorite genres to find live music events for you to attend. Sterling also integrated Stripe Payments to process per impression show promotions via the web and developed an iOS and Android app via React Native with Spotify and Facebook integration. Sterling holds an AS degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where he graduated in 2010. He is proficient in several technologies, including Typescript, Javascript, Redis, MongoDB, Redux, iOS, Integration, Backend, Web, NodeJS, React Native, and Android. Sterling is interested in remote work opportunities and is open to sitting in an office again for the right company.
