Steve Halzel is a seasoned software development expert with over 29 years of experience. He specializes in making software development efficient, effective, and high-quality, with a focus on Agile, Engineering Velocity, Test & DevOps Strategy, and Technical Due Diligence. Steve believes that most software companies underinvest in the production process, leading to more losses on the field than necessary. He is passionate about helping companies shift from development-driven to customer-driven, with a focus on optimizing the process for the customer experience. Currently, Steve is the CEO, CTO, and Co-Founder of AI4Credit, an innovative Fintech company building a mobile-friendly, real-time, secure, cloud-based Risk Management SaaS application that uses a highly predictive and inherently explainable AI/ML engine. He is responsible for driving the strategic vision, creating business and technical plans, building business partner relationships with Industry trusted sources, and leading the software development and the AI/ML DevOps pipeline construction. Prior to AI4Credit, Steve worked as an Executive Consultant and CTO at Software Velocity Partners, LLC, a Software Engineering Consulting firm that specializes in accelerating, scaling, modernizing, and transforming Software Development, Core Services, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and DevOps for hyperscale growth. He has also worked as a Senior Director of Engineering at Sungard AS, where he was responsible for modernizing SGAS’s private & public cloud infrastructure, developing repeatable, consistent, multi-tenant, secure, scalable, and reusable architectures for SGAS’s solutions & services, and transforming the entire Engineering organization to an agile DevOps methodology. Steve has a High School Diploma from Boston Latin School and a BSEE in Computer Systems from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has a diverse Tech Stack, including expertise in test, Senior Software Engineer, AI, Software Engineer, DevOps, ML, SDET, CI/CD, Big Data, Microservices, Mobile, qa, infra, and Integration.
