Steve Teo is a Director of Cloud Security Engineering at Horangi Cyber Security, with over 12 years of relevant experience in Agile Software Development, Cloud Engineering, Build & Release Engineering, and DevSecOps in enterprise and startup environments. He is a trailblazer and vocal evangelist in his pet domains, providing strong engineering and thought leadership to teams and organizations. Steve possesses a rare combined experience in Web Scale Architecture, Distributed Systems, Microservices, Serverless Computing, Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, Build & Release Engineering, Functional Programming, Cryptography, Web Security, and the open-source movement. His current interests lie in helping motivated organizations quantum leap in their capability to adopt (solution, architect and operate) in the Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP), ChatCloudDevSecOps tooling, practices, and culture, allowing companies to rapidly and safely deliver through scalable, highly resilient cloud environments and contribute to the business value chain. He is actively involved in the local tech scene and community by regularly organizing the AWS User Group Singapore Meetup with passionate co-organizers and attending other tech meetups/conferences to learn, share and network with like-minded folks. He thrives in collaborative, creative, and open environments and has good experience in creating platforms for people to share. Steve has been inducted into the ASEAN AWS Cloud Warriors and Global AWS Community Hero program. He has worked with AWS User Group Singapore as a leader to build the AWS user community, one soul at a time, through meetups. Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Computing (Computer Science) from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Information Technology from Temasek Polytechnic.
