Subham Sahu is an aspiring engineer with a keen interest in software development and system design. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Mercari, where he has worked on the authentication module to secure access tokens from various attacks using Web Workers. He has also refactored the social auth with Apple and Google to make them more snappy and performant. In addition, he has built internal workflows and spinnaker pipelines to enable custom domain in local env, which has enabled testing of some products in the local development environment and improved developers' productivity. Prior to his current role, Subham has worked as a DevRel Intern at GitHub, where he built an internal data pipeline on Apache Airflow to monitor open source projects and accounts for significant milestones. He also wrote queries on Trino, a distributed SQL query engine to identify milestones, and built several Looker dashboards. He has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore, where he worked on Bixby Service Framework with the Voice Intelligence Team. He integrated an on-device optical character recognition module and built an image processing layer to improve performance. He also designed an efficient block and schema-agnostic parsing module to extract the entity attribute pairs from the raw text. Subham is an undergraduate with an electrical major and a minor in computer science and engineering from IIT Ropar. He loves building web apps and has a portfolio showcasing his projects and experiences.
