Subhasis Mahapatra is a Cloud and Bigdata Platform Engineer with over 14 years of experience in designing and developing Bigdata solutions on AWS Public Cloud. He is a Google Cloud Certified Architect with expertise in building loosely coupled components that scale out horizontally to address the exponential growth of data in terms of volume as well as velocity. Subhasis has developed a metadata-driven unique transformation framework that can successfully replace traditional ETL tools in the EDW world. He has worked on BigData, Analytics, and cloud computing for the past five years, and is certified as a Hortonworks Professional (HDPCA). Subhasis is comfortable in R (rhadoop and Zeppelin) and has experience working with descriptive statistics, linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, clustering, SVM, and MaxLik. Prior to BigData-related projects, he worked on C/C++ programming, Grid computing, Multicore and Multi-process HPC programming, Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) management, Cloud Storage, OpenStack, LAMP web-programming, and task automation through Python, Perl, and Bash scripting. Subhasis has experience in NAS, cloud storage, HPC, and Grid Computing and has worked on AliEn Data Grid Project and Garuda National Grid. He has also worked on the 4th Fastest Super Computer (Eka) being associated with CRL (TATA SONS' Computational Research Labs, Now TCS). He has been nominated as a Technical Resource for 2008 in IBM India Pvt. Ltd. Subhasis is an Agile practitioner for the last nine years and is a certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance. He is currently an Associate Director, helping clients to run their business on the Google Cloud Platform, including Contact Center AI, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud solutions. He is working with Google's clients to achieve their shared vision of gathering requirements for future state data warehouse (from TD to BQ), developing a data warehouse architecture and design, building a detailed implementation plan, creating a full implementation cost model for migrating Teradata to BigQuery, and E2E delivery of the project.
