Subhojit is passionate about solving problems at scale, and he finds it satisfying to watch something come to life through coding. At Hotstar, Subhojit is responsible for building social and gaming features for live content, which have scaled to 25 million concurrent users during IPL and Cricket World Cups. He has also built Watch n Play, Social Signals, and Social Graph for a 300 million user base. He took a remote mobile experience and transformed it into a "social" experience where people can watch while interacting with their friends. Subhojit has previously worked at L Brands and Cisco as a Software Engineer. At L Brands, he mentored other team members to quickly grasp Go, did reviews and discussions for the same and traveled to the onsite team in America to establish best practices, standards, and libraries for their 100+ micro-services. At Cisco, he developed set-top-box Head-End (STB server-side) applications using Golang, Core Java following microservices architecture, and owned the development of Automation for Catalog Import components. Subhojit holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Information Technology from West Bengal University of Technology. He has picked up a bit of Android recently and realized that doing something end-to-end is so satisfactory. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Mobile, Infra, Android, and Microservices.
