Sudar Muthu is a Lead Web Engineer at 10up with over 16 years of experience in developing web applications and scaling large-scale web applications. He is an expert in WordPress and has experience in Data Science and Applied Machine Learning. Sudar has worked with distributed applications using mapreduce (Hadoop and Pig) systems. Sudar is also an active contributor to the open-source community. He has created and currently maintains nearly 2 dozen WordPress Plugins and has contributed to many open-source projects, including WordPress. Sudar has spoken at many conferences and events on various topics related to web development. Apart from his work in web development, Sudar is also interested in robotics. He has built robots as a hobby that can be controlled using various devices like Android phone, Wii remote, PC, node.js (JavaScript) client, browser, etc. Sudar has also created and maintains a couple of Arduino libraries. Before joining 10up, Sudar worked as a Research Engineer at Yahoo Labs, where he worked with Research Scientists to convert research ideas into new products. He designed and developed the frontend for the largest combinatorial market simulation - a prediction game for ncaa'09, ncaa'10, fifa'10, Cricket World cup 2011, and IPL. Sudar also designed the entire architecture for both the frontend and backend of the current Yahoo Labs website, which is available at http://labs.yahoo.com. Sudar has a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras. He has also completed High School from St. Mary's.
