Sudheer Tumu is a Machine Learning and Engineering leader with over 10 years of experience in designing, building, and launching products and technologies at a scale to handle billions of transactions. He has extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining real-time back-end services and Machine Learning/Deep Learning systems for mobile devices and SaaS systems on AWS, GCP, and Azure. Sudheer has hands-on experience in developing Machine Learning solutions and applying Deep Learning techniques to a large array of problems including Computer Vision, NLP/NLU, and Speech Recognition(ASR). Sudheer has led cross-functional teams of Data Scientists, Machine Learning engineers, and Software Engineers to build Machine Learning systems and deploy them in production. Currently, Sudheer works at Suki as a Senior Technical Lead (Engineering) and Senior Staff Applied Research Scientist. At Suki, he is designing and building backend systems + ASR to power a new voice-enabled digital assistant for doctors. Sudheer has built the next-generation Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models based on Deep learning for Medical literature. He has also developed the Suki speech service (S3) -- core AI + ASR engine powering Suki and Suki Server (S2) -- a complete system that enables an end-to-end note-taking experience. In the past, Sudheer has worked as a Staff Applied Research Scientist at Adobe, where he led Machine learning/Deep learning efforts for Content and Commerce AI. He built Deep learning models for Image Understanding/Computer vision to power Content Intelligence solutions and Adobe Experience Cloud. He also built a highly scalable c++ inference platform for Machine learning and Deep learning models that powers Sensei platform. Teams Across Adobe use this platform to deploy and launch their models and facilitate external customers to access and use them. Sudheer has also worked as a Senior Applied Research Scientist at Flipkart, where he built Deep Learning models for Image Understanding, Computer Vision, NLP/NLU, and Speech Recognition. Sudheer holds an MS in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, an MS in Computer Science from the University at Albany, SUNY, NY, USA, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. Sudheer is proficient in several technologies, including Research Scientist, Senior Software Engineer, Deep Learning, ML, Computer Vision, AI, Search, NLU, AWS, Backend
