Suk Hwan Lim is an accomplished technical leader with over 21 years of experience in the field of imaging, vision/ML in algorithms, hardware, and software. He has a proven track record of launching mass products at top companies such as Samsung, Google, Apple, and HP. Currently, he serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Multimedia at Samsung, where he leads the Multimedia HW IP and SW stack within the S.LSI Business unit, managing a team of over 600 engineers specializing in camera (ISP), NPU, DSP, video, display, and audio IP. Prior to his current role, Suk held several leadership positions at Google, including Engineering Manager, Head of Imaging & Vision org at TechEng, and Senior Staff Engineer. He was also a Principal Architect at Apple, where he contributed to the development of four generations of iPhones and iPad. Suk's expertise in the area of imaging and vision has been instrumental in the launch of several successful products, including Exynos 2100, Pixel 1, 2, and 3, Google Clips, and HP photo printing SW, web printing SW, and digital cameras. Suk holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University. He also attended Seoul Science High School. Suk's technical skills include senior software engineering, ML, mobile, and web development. He is a visionary leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and his ability to drive innovation and deliver results has earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor and mentor to his team.
