Sukhvinder Kumar is an IT infrastructure management expert with over 15 years of experience in IT Infrastructure operations management. He currently works as a Site Reliability Engineer at Apple, where he is responsible for managing Redhat Linux, Amazon Web Services, Web Services, Virtualization, IT Infrastructure Operations management, service delivery, client relationship & people management. Sukhvinder has extensive experience in Amazon’s Cloud Computing, including bundling new AMI's, bringing up instances, load balancing, managing backups to EC2, ECS, S3, route53, RDS, autoscale, cloudfront, VPC, Cloudformation, etc. He also has experience in datacenter migration and has worked on different UNIX platforms like Linux and Sun Solaris, and hardware. Sukhvinder is skilled in installing, upgrading, patching and configuring RHEL 5/6 using PXE, systemimager and kickstart. He is experienced with configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet and cloud-init. Additionally, he has worked on the administration and maintenance of application services like HTTP, Apache Tomcat, Squid, Samba, ldap, DHCP, SMTP, FTP, POP3, NIS and NFS. Sukhvinder has experience in installation, configuration, and implementation of VMware and has transitioned projects and provided support to US and UK-based customers for mission-critical servers. He has also installed and configured DNS (BIND), Mail (EXIM, Postfix, Sendmail) FTP & Radius Servers on Linux. Sukhvinder has extensive experience in IT Infrastructure monitoring with tools like Nagios, Icinga, Cacti, Munin, Graphite. He is experienced in performance monitoring and analysis for Web services across multiple operating system environments. He is skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex problems involving various aspects of IT infrastructure set up. Sukhvinder holds a Master of Science degree in Operational Research from Delhi University. He has also completed his education from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
