Sukrit Kalra is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at UC Berkeley, currently working in the RISE Lab. With a keen interest in Distributed Systems, System/Network Security, and Program Analysis/Verification, Sukrit has gained valuable experience in the field of computer science. Prior to his current role, Sukrit worked as a Research Software Engineer with the Blockchain team at IBM Research, India. His areas of expertise included the security of blockchains, smart contract programming, distributed consensus protocols, and applications of blockchains to traditional networking paradigms. He also worked as a Research Intern with the Cloud Computing team at IBM Research, where he developed GRETEL, a system that leverages non-intrusive system monitoring to expedite root cause analysis of operational and performance faults manifesting in OpenStack operations. Sukrit's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from IIIT Delhi and he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, which is expected to be completed by December 2023. Sukrit's technical skills include Research Scientist, Blockchain, Smart Contract, and Software Engineering. He has relevant experience of 1.44 years and has proven his expertise in various roles.
