Sukriti Paul is a self-driven and passionate Genome Data Scientist and programmer with over 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector. She has worked in academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial settings, providing fresh and holistic perspectives to open-ended problems in the Life Sciences space. Currently, she is working as a Genome Data Scientist at a Biotech startup, where she leverages ML in bioinformatics to understand novel disease-causing targets better and contribute to building their enterprise cloud and data infrastructure. Sukriti firmly believes that inclusion lies at the core of disruptive innovation. She strives to create a more inclusive ecosystem for underrepresented groups in tech, advocates for ethical AI, and identifies as an intersectional feminist. Through her outreach efforts, she has mentored over 250 engineering undergraduates, managed 50+ technical events, worked closely with 10+ tech communities, and volunteered at several NGOs in India. Her primary areas of interest are Deep Learning, Health Data Science, and MLOps. She has a versatile skill set that she draws on to contribute to bleeding-edge research and strategic decision-making. Empathy, inclusion, social responsibility, and the growth mindset underpin her undertakings and community building endeavors. Sukriti has worked as a Business Analyst 2 at American Express, where she was part of the Merchant Recommender - Algorithms sub-team under the EDA ECDS team. She has also worked as a core committee reviewer for the Data Science track for GHC'2020 at the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. Sukriti holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. She completed her ISC from St. Joseph's Boys' High School, Bangalore, and her ICSE from Baldwin's Girls' High School, Bangalore.
