Sukumar Daniel is an accomplished Architect at Nationale-Nederlanden with over 26 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture driven Organisation Transformation. He is passionate about his contribution to society and has a social objective of improving the quality of life by improving capability. Sukumar is an evangelist for Enterprise Architecture driven, Organisation Transformation, and helps organizations to systematically build people and business capabilities required to craft and deliver Business Technology Services that attract and retain customers. He pioneered the approach of Enterprise Architecture Driven Business Transformation for moving from traditional Silo Operating Models to Emergent Operating Models that thrive on continuous change. Sukumar has articulated a 'Paradigm Shifting' transformation process framework called FlexMode, which includes TOGAF, IT4IT, Archimate, VeriSM, and uses Action Research. He was conferred with the ‘Award of Distinction’ for outstanding work in which a clear path towards the effective use of enterprise architecture is demonstrated at the Open Group India Conference and 2017 Awards for Innovation and Excellence in Architecture. Sukumar has worked with Action Research Foundation, a Boutique EA Design Studio for Tata Motors and Tesco, and was awarded for Enterprise and IT Architecture Excellence by ICMG in 2010 and 2011. He is currently engaged in enabling organizations to make the transformation to a digital future by crafting and Operating Flexible Operating models for delivering values to customers using Business Technology. Sukumar has served as an active member of the IT4IT forum, a contributor to the standard in the Adoption, Business Value, and Vertical Service model workgroups. He has also served as the Co-Chair of the Business Values Sub Group and contributed to the revision of the standard. Sukumar's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from mnit and he attended Madras Christian College High School.
