Suma Reddy is a Senior Data Scientist at Unacademy, with a passion for Natural Language Processing and its applications to solve real-life problems. She holds a B.Tech. with Honors and an M.S. by Research in Computational Linguistics from IIIT-Hyderabad. Suma is always eager to learn new algorithms and help solve real-world problems with CS solutions. She also finds Data Science and Machine Learning interesting in general. Suma's current role at Unacademy involves handling various data science-related problems such as Better Content Discovery, Personalized Recommendations, Affinity-Based Recommendation, and Conducting A/B experiments. She is responsible for developing algorithms and conducting experiments to improve user engagement and experience. Before joining Unacademy, Suma worked as a Data Science Intern at Unacademy, where she developed an algorithm for onboarding recommendations to tackle the low activation problem. She also worked on creating a knowledge graph using various ML and IRE techniques that could be used for tagging courses based on their content. Suma has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Computational Linguistics course with Prof. Dr. Radhika Mamidi at the International Institute of Information Technology. Suma's education history includes a BTech in Computer Science and MS by Research in Computational Linguistics from IIIT-Hyderabad. She has also completed her Class XI - XII from Asian International Private School, Ruwais, and Class IX-X from Kennedy High the Global School. She completed her Class II-VIII from International Indian School Al-Jubail and Class I and below from Petrochemical Vidyalaya, Nagothane. Suma is proficient in various technologies, including Data Scientist, Research Scientist, ML, Python, SQL, NLP, test, SVM, XGBoost, AI, Django, Javascript, Search, AWS, Frontend, Backend, Web, Keras, Deep Learning, Tensorflow, Neural Networks, and Software Engineer.
