Suman Debnath is a highly experienced Principal Developer Advocate, specializing in Data Engineering and Analytics at Amazon Web Services. With over 14 years of experience, Suman has worked extensively on Performance Engineering, System Testing, Quality Engineering, and Solutioning. He has worked with clients to evaluate technologies, conducted assessments, workshops, and PoC, and provided solution architecture. Suman has previously worked as a Technical Lead focusing on QA, Automation, Performance, and Tool Development efforts towards the NVMe Over Fabrics engineering solution. He has also worked as a Staff Engineer for Broadcom with the Performance Benchmarking and Technical Marketing group. As a CompTIA Storage+ SME, Suman was responsible for developing the question set for the SNIA Certified Storage Professional certification examination. Suman is an expert in delivering technical training & workshops and has authored more than 30 white papers published for Broadcom, IBM, and Hitachi Data Systems. He is a frequent speaker at various national and international conferences like SNIA, GHCI, and PyConf. In his current role at Amazon, Suman has worked with the Global Developer Relations Team, focusing on core services, serverless, and machine learning. He has hosted 120+ third-party conferences and meetups in the last 2 years focusing on various technology stacks around Serverless, Machine Learning, and Data Analysis. Suman has presented at Tier 1 AWS events like re:Invent, AWS Innovate, AWS Modern Application Development, Amazon AI Innovate, AWS DevDay, etc. He has also hosted “AWS on Air” show at re:Invent and developed developer-focused content around Machine Learning and Serverless. Suman has scaled the number of AWS User Groups from 17 to 28 within two years in the region (India/SL/Bangladesh). Suman has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology and completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya.
