Sumanth Doddapaneni is a PhD student at IITM and a part of AI4Bharat. He is an enthusiastic and fun-loving individual who is always eager to learn and grow. With a passion for solving complex problems, Sumanth is committed to making a positive impact through his education. Sumanth started his career in Data Science and has since worked on a range of projects in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). He is particularly interested in multilingual and low-resource NLP, and has worked on projects related to multilingual NLP, multilingual neural machine translation, and multilingual speech systems. Sumanth has also worked on Named Entity Recognition for chat data during his time at Swiggy. Currently pursuing his PhD, Sumanth is continuing his work in NLP and is focused on multilingual and low-resource NLP. He is working under the guidance of Dr. Mitesh Khapra and Dr. Pratyush Kumar on projects related to this field. Sumanth holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIIT and a High School Diploma from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's. He also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from IITM. He is expected to complete his PhD in Computer Science from IITM in 2022. Sumanth's technical skills include NLP, Data Science, and Research Science. He has 0.52 years of relevant experience in the field of Data Science and NLP.
