Sumanu Rawat is a talented Research Scientist with a strong background in Computer Science, specializing in Intelligent Systems such as AI, ML, NLP, SNA, and NN. He is currently working at Amazon as a Research Scientist in the Performance Advertising Tech Team, where he has designed and developed a Weak Labelling Framework for generating v0 training data for Non-English marketplaces. This framework is used in new marketplaces where labeled human moderation data is scarce or non-existent. Sumanu is also responsible for training, deploying, and maintaining models to detect ad policy violations in ads. Prior to his current role, Sumanu worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon's Alexa Skill Team, where he was responsible for certification and monitoring of 3rd party applications submitted to the Alexa store. Sumanu also worked as an SDE Intern at Amazon's India Machine Learning Team, where he worked on the development of a real-time scoring service for ML models, enabling scientists to host their models and make single request predictions in real-time. Sumanu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, which he will complete in January 2022. He also has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, completed in 2018.
