Sumeet Gawande is a seasoned Systems and Applications Engineering Leader with over 23 years of experience in software products, automation, and services engineering. He has a diverse range of skills spanning across technology areas and domains, including Systems and Applications Development, Security, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Cloud Native Applications, AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), NLP (Natural Language Processing), Data Science, and Industrial Automation Systems. Sumeet has extensive engineering, operations, and delivery experience, having worked on Greenfield and Sustenance projects for both startups and enterprise-scale organizations. He is highly skilled in fostering product ideation, creating product roadmaps, and leveraging project management, SDLC, and Agile methodologies to deliver world-class products and services. Currently, Sumeet is working as an Independent Software Consultant, engaging with customers for requirements gathering, engineering, hands-on contribution to design, development, and delivery of multiple products and services. He is collaborating with stealth mode startups' architecture and engineering teams to define and develop greenfield AI/ML products and services in diverse product areas, including Cyber Threat Intelligence. Prior to his current role, Sumeet worked as a Program Manager (AI/ML) at Persistent Systems, where he was responsible for end-to-end resourcing, account management, engineering, and delivery for a pioneering Greenfield product being developed by a Bay area startup. He also worked as a Technical Director, Engineering & Architecture at Torana, where he reported directly to the CTO and worked with Product Architects to design and develop iCEDQ, a unified ETL Testing, Data Migration testing & Data Quality Governance automation platform. Sumeet holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors: Physics) from Pune University, a Masters in Computer Applications from Nagpur University, and a Diploma in Advanced Computing from C-DAC. He also completed a Masters Program in the Department of Physics at IIT Bombay (opted out of the course). Sumeet's Tech Stack includes AI, ML, NLP, Data Scientist, Supervised Learning, ETL, and Senior Software Engineer.
