Sumeet Pawnikar is an Embedded Linux System Software Developer and Technical Architect at Intel, with over 15 years of experience in the embedded domain. He is currently working on Google Chrome OS, focusing on Linux Kernel, Thermal Management/DPTF, System Firmware, Power Management, and Performance improvement in Linux. Sumeet is an active developer, maintainer, and contributor on Coreboot.org Open Source Firmware and Linux Kernel, device drivers development for Intel x86 based ChromeOS platform. Sumeet is a skilled professional with expertise in Linux Kernel internals, Device Drivers development, and Embedded System Programming. He has strong C and assembly programming skills on Intel x86 and ARM SoC based platforms. Sumeet has a good understanding of Linux Thermal Management, Power Management(PM), and expertise in fine-tuning thermal management solutions for power and performance optimizations. He has developed Power Management and other device drivers for Samsung's Android Galaxy Smartphones/Tablet devices like Galaxy Nexus at Google, Galaxy Note, Galaxy A, S2, S3 smartphones on ARM SoC. Sumeet has also developed I2C, SPI, PCI & ISA Bus Device Driver for Embedded Linux platform.
