Sumeet Sarkar is a seasoned software engineer with over 10 years of hands-on coding experience in building reliable and scalable software applications. Currently working as a Principal Software Engineer (L5) at Twilio, he specializes in Identity and Access Management. Sumeet actively engages himself in in-house technology evangelism and is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field of software engineering. He has an impressive track record of designing and architecting RBAC services and implementing Saga choreography for distributed transactions across microservices. Before joining Twilio, Sumeet worked as a Technical Lead at Postman, where he developed and deployed SCIM 2.0 provisioning and re-architected RBAC to support Role Hierarchies - Graph in memory model and permission resolutions. He also worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Instamojo, where he designed and architected RBAC service and Capital-framework service. Sumeet holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and completed his 10+2 from Navy Children School with a focus on PCM + C.S.
