Sumit Bagga is a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at Splunk, where he holds the same position. Before joining Splunk, Sumit worked at Adobe as a Senior Computer Scientist, where he was a lead engineer and designer for a product called Adobe Target. In this role, he worked on the core Target platform, which includes the authoring and delivery layers. Some of the projects that he worked on include Adobe Experience Platform, Unified Profile & Unified Edge, Customer Record Service (CRS) integration, Analytics for Target (A4T) integration, GDPR, Profile service, Honeybee (API layer), Device detection. He used a range of technologies and languages, including Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, MySQL, Kafka, Zookeeper, Cassandra, Amazon Web Services, Docker, avro, and Jenkins. Sumit also worked as a Software Development Intern at Adobe, where he developed a Monitoring Tool for a product called Digital Publishing Suite (DPS). He was awarded the Best Intern in Adobe Seattle for this project. The solution stack used included Linux as an OS with main languages and resources such as Java, Javascript, Spring, Jersey, HTML5, SVG, MongoDB, Node.js, and D3.js. Sumit holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, where he completed his studies in 2012. He also holds a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, where he completed his studies in 2011.
