Sumit Bansal is a Lead Software Engineer at MoEngage Inc. with a total of 7.11 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. He has expertise in designing, developing, and testing data-intensive backend pipelines for dynamic web projects. Currently, Sumit is working as a Research Intern at the Department of C.S.E. I.I.T. Delhi for a Machine Learning-based live project of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.) under Professor K.K. Biswas. The project involves training weekly obtained body parameters of doctors and nurses to obtain a report on whether a person is worthy of performing his/her duty on a particular day or on a particular case. The system is fully automated and the data is trained using SVM. The project is made in Python. Sumit's past experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Betaout, where he was part of the core architecture team for moving the Betaout platform from Monolith to Microservices architecture. He was responsible for architecting and building a high-speed workflow automation system based on Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, JointJs, and Cassandra. He also implemented a complete stateless architecture of deployment and managed infrastructure. Sumit was responsible for writing a complete real-time data in rest and data in motion Analytics system with a latency of 50 ms and handling 100 M events per day. He built a high-speed data pipelining engine for warehousing data within 100 milliseconds, handling 200M events per day. Sumit was also responsible for collecting, cleaning, warehousing data from various different sources and creating meaningful data visualizations to communicate and relate findings. Sumit completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in 2016. He also completed his Senior Secondary School in 2011 and Secondary School in 2010 from N.K Public School, Jaipur.
