Sumit Chakraborty is an experienced Backend Engineer with over 8 years of total experience and more than 7.5 years of relevant experience in development in Product Development Organizations/Startups. He has developed many scalable and high-performance applications, mainly using Java and its ecosystem. Sumit has been involved in end-end product development (with Backend and Frontend) and has mainly followed Agile Methodologies. His Tech Stack includes Java 8, Spring Boot Microservices, Spring Framework, Spring Core, Hibernate, Redis, Kafka, AWS, Cassandra, MongoDB, Netflix OSS, Zuul, Ribbon, Apache Camel, Angular JS, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, ELK, NoSql DBs, etc. He has mostly been involved in backend development but has experience as a full-stack developer as well for around 3-4 years (70% backend). Sumit has achieved 10000 TPS in his current project and has been involved in the design part as well. Sometimes he has given the solution to a faster approach or a more optimal approach. Sumit has used functional features of Java 8 and learned new tech stacks whenever needed and applied them at the same time. He is eager to learn any new tech stack needed and ready to switch between tech stacks. Sumit has engaged in many product developments from scratch and has been involved in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) i.e., development/testing/deployment. Currently, he is working as a Backend Engineer at Zalando and has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Machinesense and an Assistant Technical Consultant at RS Software. At RS Software, Sumit worked on the EFRM project, which is India's most of the txns for fraud detection. He has been a part of the rule engine and system design and architecture. Sumit holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Heritage Institute of Technology and a Higher Secondary degree in Science from Howrah Vivekananda Institution.
