Sumit Chavan is an accomplished software engineer and research scientist with a passion for conducting large-scale, global, quantitative research to gain deeper insights into how AI is positively impacting the lives of people. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at EQ technologic, where he is involved in developing smart applications with a wide impact scenario. Sumit is currently involved in the Full stack development of eQube-TM product, which acts as a knowledge base for the eQube-BI product, a state-of-the-art Business Intelligence Product. His technology stack includes Java Spring Boot, Backbonejs, marionette js, HTML, CSS. Sumit has undertaken research projects as well as having industry projects, and he always strives to find a perfect balance between the two. During his undergraduate at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, he extensively collaborated with companies like IBM, Persistent, and global universities like Indiana University, PA and Melbourne Polytechnic, Aus and performed research in the domain of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. In the process, he also published 3 research papers in IEEE and Springer Journals. Sumit is always on the lookout for challenging problems to solve and is determined to develop efficient solutions that help make the world a better place. He has worked as a Deep Learning Intern at IBM, where he researched the topic of 2D to 3D Reconstruction using Generative Adversarial Networks and CNNs. He also presented a survey paper as the first author: ‘GANs as an Advancement in 2D to 3D Reconstruction Techniques’ at an International Springer Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, published in Springer Book AISC. Sumit's past experience also includes working as an Event Head at Code Storm-Tesla, where he managed the two rounds of the contest and made sure all participants' queries were solved. He also set and tested algorithmic and logical problems and generated diverse test cases for each problem against which participants' solutions were tested. Sumit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology. He is actively seeking SDE roles starting Jan'23 and is open to exploring new opportunities where he can leverage his skills and expertise in software engineering, research, deep learning, computer vision, AI, Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Adversarial Networks, GAN, and testing. Sumit has relevant experience of 3.44 years.
