Sumit Jaiswal is an accomplished engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in managing the development, architecture, and release of complex software products. Currently, he serves as a Member of Technical Staff at PayPal, Inc. where he leads large cross-functional teams across geographies towards successful product releases. Sumit is known for his enthusiastic, can-do attitude and high energy, which he leverages to build and manage highly energetic and collaborative teams. He has a demonstrated ability to produce exceptional results in demanding environments. Sumit has a strong technical background and a diverse skill set that includes experience in software engineering, mobile, and backend development. He has worked with several companies in the past, including Moback and Cisco, where he held the positions of Software Architect and Technical Lead, respectively. At Moback, Sumit was responsible for building API frameworks for Data store and was part of the API design team. He is currently working on building Mobile Backend as Service (MBaaS). At Cisco, he developed the Messaging Backbone for Reliable/High performance/Secure/Bi-directional communication over WAN to connect Cisco Managed Devices in Customer network with SaaS NMS Services in Cisco Cloud based on XMPP and L3 IP-Sec Tunnel. He also implemented various NMS SaaS modules for Cisco Smart Services. Sumit holds a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree from Sikkim Manipal University, as well as a Bsc. degree from St. Xavier's College.
