Currently, he is working at MindTickle as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where he is responsible for leading an architect chapter that manages operational data infrastructure, works on data-governance/compliance requirements, reviews data-model & use-cases of applications, and builds infrastructure that can be helpful to all application developers to avail best data architecture practices. Sumit has extensive experience working on various technologies such as Microservices, Databases, Containers (Kubernetes/Docker), Golang, GRPC, Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Automation (Ansible, Terrraform), Monitoring (New Relic, Datadog, TICK stack, Grafana), and more. He has also worked on Tickledb, a distributed, fault-tolerant, strictly consistent row-store layer, which is built on top of MySQL. This project manages horizontal scaling, availability, and data-governance, and it is coming soon as open source.
