Sumit Patra is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in building scalable enterprise-grade tools using the latest technologies. He is currently working at Goldman Sachs as a Software Engineer (VP) where he utilizes his expertise in Python, Django, React, jQuery, Bootstrap, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra to develop innovative solutions for the company. Sumit has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from the Heritage Institute of Technology in Kolkata. He also attended Arambagh High School where he studied Science. His education and experience have given him a strong foundation in software engineering, and he is always looking for new challenges to apply his skills. Prior to his current role, Sumit worked at Netradyne as a Senior Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer. He developed a recommendation engine to automatically generate coaching sessions for drivers who made mistakes while driving. He also developed several production-facing services that helped fleet managers get insights into the performance of their drivers. Additionally, he developed various data pipelines using Amazon Kinesis/SQS that captured all the data generated by devices in real-time and stored them in a usable format. Sumit's technical expertise includes Python, Django, React, jQuery, Bootstrap, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, HTML5, JavaScript, and ReactJS. He has a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering. When Sumit is not working, he enjoys reading novels, watching Formula 1 races, and football.
