He built a patient's EHR search platform backed by Elasticsearch, which reduced query time over all indexes by 10-15X. He also built a deep model builder platform that allows tagging of text, image data, and using the tagged data to train ML models and run predictions on the model. Sumit also built the nferX orchestrator to process and streamline patient's raw data to nferX orchestrated standards, which helped streamline all apps to quickly ingest patients' data and run analytics on it and easily scale the platform. Sumit also built the molecular proteomics pipeline to process raw data using the MaxQuant software, which allowed clinical scientists to submit, review, halt the processing of studies at any time and enriched nferX platform with 1000s of studies in no time. Sumit also built the nferX proteomics platform to query and present various statistical data and enrichments from processed studies. Prior to his role at nference, Sumit worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company. Sumit holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Bioinformatics from Vellore Institute of Technology.
