Sumit Saurabh is a seasoned engineering leader with over 13 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently working as a Senior Application & Support Engineering Manager at Amazon, where he is responsible for building and managing a best-in-class support engineering team. Sumit is a results-driven leader who is passionate about innovation, excellence, and customer obsession. In his current role, Sumit drives initiatives to maximize operational efficiency by building processes, tools, and solutions. He also builds a culture of direct code interaction by nurturing talent towards building applications, debugging, and making code level fixes. Sumit regularly interacts with various internal business owners to help understand requirements and business priorities, define engagement models, and drive improvements. He is also responsible for developing support strategies and creating appropriate harnesses as well as pragmatic approaches for quick and effective support. Prior to his current role, Sumit worked at Amazon as a Manager of Support Engineering, where he was responsible for driving root cause analysis, impact analysis, and production deployment support. He was also responsible for resource planning to support various program asks and defining measurable metrics to gauge progress against objective support goals. Before joining Amazon, Sumit worked at Subex as a Manager of Global Fulfillment, where he was responsible for end-to-end client servicing, solution design, service delivery, product support, and project management. He managed a team of 28 engineers and worked with diverse telecom clientele spread all over the globe in the domain of Fraud Management and Revenue Assurance. Sumit holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jaypee University of Information Technology and a High School degree from Don Bosco Academy. He is currently pursuing an Executive Programme in Senior Leadership from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. Sumit's technical expertise includes Senior Software Engineering and DevOps.
