Summer Seo is a Software Engineer at Dell Technologies with over 4 years of relevant experience. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2019 and an Associate's degree in International/Global Studies from Montgomery College in 2015. Summer has worked with Visa as a Mobile Security Software Engineer Intern, where she built a full-stack analytical web application using the Python framework Dash by Plotly, also leveraging SQLite3, Nginx, uWSGI, and Redis. She also developed an API wrapper to automate searches through major mobile App Stores in order to detect changes to corporate applications that may have potential security vulnerabilities. She conducted a full mobile penetration test on a corporate mobile application, following OWASP Mobile Top 10 methodology, including assessment of data at rest, in transit and through reverse-engineering. Tools used included Burp Suite Professional, SSLScan, nMap, MobSF, keychain dumper, as well as common Linux tools to assess the data at rest on the device. Summer has also worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Southern California, where she collected and maintained over 300GB Twitter messages using Twitter Streaming API and Python. She wrote programs to analyze data in Python and used Python NLTK Text Classification to perform sentimental analysis on collected Twitter data. She graphed the information using PowerBI. Her research topic was The PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Twitter Analysis.
